I FINALLY BROKE THE 3hr 15min BARRIER, AFTER 4 YEARS OF TRYING. BUT MORE IMPORTANT RAISED ANOTHER FEW HUNDRED POUNDS FOR BHOPAL.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED, AND THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTED, BOTH THROUGH MY TRAINING AND IN THE RACE ITSELF. REALLY APPRECIATED!!!!

Yes, I'm running yet another marathon - my sixth in total, and the fifth one at Brighton. I am determined to get that elusive sub-3hr 15min time. Training has been going well, and I've qualified for the elite start again this year. (My race number is 444).

As usual, I'm supporting The Bhopal Medical Appeal; a charity I have been involved with for a few years now. The charity supports two free clinics in Bhopal, India, for sufferers of the Union Carbide gas disaster of 1984, and for children still suffering from the effects of subsequent groundwater poisoning 30 years later.

As ever, any amount, however small, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

For those interested in my own path to this marathon; this is my 5th out of the six Brighton Marathons. I had to stop training for last year's marathon as in February I was diagnosed with Sudden Death Syndrome, and was told I could never run again. This turned out to be a false diagnosis, and a few months later I was back running again. I ran the Nottingham Marathon in September, which was very hot, and I suffered in the latter stages, getting a 3hr 45min time. Training has been going well this year, and I am as fit as I've ever been, so am hoping the day will go well for me.
