My friend and I will be embarking on an epic 7 day trek covering 101 miles from coast to coast in Devon along the Two Moors Way. Starting at Ivybridge, travelling through Dartmoor and Exmoor and finishing in Lynmouth we will be walking around 15 miles a day (6 hours) and camping wherever we find to pitch our tent for 7 days straight.

I have decided to do this to give me a challenge following 18 months of sitting at home but also to raise money for a great cause, Crohn’s & Colitis UK. This year my girlfriend was diagnosed with Crohn's, something I personally knew very little about before so I'd like to raise awareness.

For those that don't know Crohn’s Disease is a lifelong autoimmune illness and as of yet there is no known cure. In February this year my girlfriend started feeling increasingly unwell but it was a while before she got a diagnosis which was a worrying time. Although the diagnosis was difficult to hear having the resources from Crohn’s & Colitis UK has been a huge help in her learning how to manage her illness and feel like there were others who understand.
