*COVID-19 update - New date 19th -23rd July 2021. In light of our last year's postponed ride and not being able to do it, we have made it our mission to make sure it goes ahead this year! We are back with a bang, and pledge to raise double the amount we originally set out to raise.
Receiving a diagnosis of cancer is life changing and dealing with the physical and mental effects can be very daunting, especially if you have to go through it alone. It’s for this reason, we have decided to organise a charity bike ride in aid of Maggie's Charity. Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer.
Almost all of us will be affected by cancer at some point in our lives, be it directly or indirectly, and we want to make a positive difference to some of those who have to go through this horrible disease
Our team of 18 cyclists will be taking on the challenge of riding from Porthcawl to Paris on the 19th July 2021. Majority of the team.
had never ridden road bikes before, so the prospect of riding on the road, let alone 100 miles per day, is a daunting task ahead. The ride will take 5 days to complete, arriving in Paris on 23rd July
Having a bit more time to plan and prepare we have come up with a contingency route, in case government guidelines do not permit us to ride to Paris, which will take around the entire border of Wales in all her mountainous glory.
*Update* Due to COVID restrictions, the ride around Wales is now going ahead.
