*COVID-19 update - New date 19th -23rd July 2021. In light of our last year's postponed ride and not being able to do it, we have made it our mission to make sure it goes ahead this year! We are back with a bang, and pledge to raise double the amount we originally set out to raise.

We think it's fair to say that many of our friends and family have been affected by cancer, be it directly or indirectly. This disease isn’t going away anytime soon and we fear that more people close to us all could be affected now or in the future. So, if we can make a difference to those effected, then that’s what we’ll do! The ride we are going undertake will be a difficult challenge but it won't be close to what these strong and brave people have to go through, and these people and their battles will be the motivation to get us through this task. We want to make a positive impact on the lives affected by cancer. Receiving a diagnosis of cancer is life changing and dealing with the physical and mental effects is a very daunting prospect, especially if you have to go through it alone. It’s for this reason, we have decided to organise a charity bike ride in aid of Maggie's Charity. Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family/friends. Built in the grounds of NHS cancer hospitals, Maggie’s Centres are places with professional staff on hand to offer the support people need.

Our team of 18 cyclists will be taking on the challenge of riding the same distance as Porthcawl to Paris but around the Welsh border. The ride will start on the 19th July 2021. Majority of the team have never ridden road bikes before, so the prospect of riding on the road.. let alone around 100 miles per day. The ride which rides around the entire boarder of our beautiful country (Wales) is arguably the tougher of fhe two, with Wales being the land of the mountains, it may not play into our favour. But regardless, and we may see blood, sweat and tears its going ahead!
