Since 2004, Resurgo has equipped more than 8,000 young people facing barriers to employment with the skills and mindset they need to find and thrive in work. Now operating in 12 locations across 6 cities, the Spear Programme offers free expert coaching to young people facing all sorts of challenges, helping them realise their full potential for themselves. Im excited to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon to help even more young people step into a more hopeful future. Thank you for supporting me in this challenge.

I completed the Spear programme in 2015 and i can honestly say it's been one of the biggest impacts on my life. They taught me how to break out of my comfort zone, how to give feedback and most importantly gave me the confidence to take charge of my own life.

Since then however I've realised it's not just the young people Spear helps but society in general. Statistics from earlier this year reported 375k (~9%) of young adults between the ages 16 and 24 are unemployed in the uk. The Spear Programme targets this age group to coach them in overcoming their personal barriers and helping them into work or full time education, therefore creating more contributors to our community's economy and in many cases providing an alternative to street life which is a positive for everyone.
