Captain Sir Tom Moore and his heroic efforts raising £33million for the NHS during this pandemic will never be forgotten. He walked his way into the nations hearts by doing laps of his garden; his thoughtfulness for others was a beacon when the country first went into lockdown and the NHS first faced COVID-19.
Just shy of his 100th birthday, he raised a staggering £32.8million for NHS Charities Together (NHSCT). Here at SaTH, Captain Sir Tom Moore leaves an incredible legacy. We are so fortunate and grateful to have benefitted from his fundraising, receiving £120,000 from NHSCT.
We will be honouring Captain Sir Tom Moore through the development of the PRH main courtyard, which we would like to call Captain Toms Courtyard. We are also planning to develop the mound outside the Ward Block at RSH to create Captain Toms Garden .
Any donations will go towards making these green havens for colleagues and visitors.
