Story

We are The Achy Breaky Bears a group of not so elite athletes and generally bad blokes from Northampton who will be tackling a number of challenges that will push us to our limits !!!

The first challenge that we will be doing is the completely and utterly ridiculously horrible looking Tough Mudder UK on Star Wars Day 2013 (Saturday May 4th). Tough Mudder events are hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle courses designed by British Special Forces to test your all round strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie. Information and videos on the event may be found here www.toughmudder.co.uk

We will be completing the course to raise money for GOSH as the son of team captain Mark Pittam has been under their care over the past 2 years and Great ormond Street are doing an amazing job so if people can dig as deep as possible that would be amazing even if its only £1 it all helps towards this great cause !!!

About the charity

We fundraise to enhance Great Ormond Street Hospital’s ability to transform the health and wellbeing of children and young people. Donations help to fund advanced medical equipment, child and family support services, pioneering research and rebuilding and refurbishment.
