We support deaf children and their families to make their future brighter.

Story

Last year my brother and I ran the Worcester half marathon for the national deaf children society. This was to raise awareness for the great work they do and for a charity close to home!

I ran it with 45Lbs of weight in rucksack to signify the 45,000 children in the UK who are in need of the great work they do.

This year we are going to split the weight and each carry 22.5Lbs. In doing this we will hope to achieve a faster time and we will be aiming for 2 hours or better so wish us look!

We hope to raise as much money as possible for this great cause and I’m sure we will have a great laugh in doing this together.

About the charity

We are the National Deaf Children’s Society, the leading charity for deaf children. We give expert support on childhood deafness, raise awareness and campaign for deaf children’s rights, so they have the same opportunities as everyone else.
