Story
Each year millions of people make journeys across water. For most of us this passage is safe however for many it is not. Every day, those fleeing persecution and conflict need to make perilous journeys to seek safety.
As a way to stand with people who need to make dangerous journeys, I am taking part in the Crossing Over Water fundraising challenge and will run from Regents Park to the Olympic Stadium and back (about 20km) along three different London canals to raise funds for people who had to flee for their lives and are being helped by Freedom from Torture. Nobody chooses to be a refugee but we can choose how we respond. I want to respond with kindness and compassion and help those in need.
Thank you for supporting me.
