Story

(Deep sigh...) Ok, I'm not sure how I was duped into this challenge considering my loathing for all things sea/river like post 'Jaws:The Revenge', but it's all in the name of charity!

I'll be taking part in the charity Dragon Boat regatta against all corners of the broadcast and media world. As a loyal member of the ITN team known as the ' Blazing Blades' (don't ask- I wasn't there when they came up with that one) I'll be competing against Sky New,BBC,Five News,GMTV,CNN,Al Jazeera,The Sun,News of the World,The Independent,The MoD and several others.

It's being held on Sunday, 25th June at The Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre in Buckinghamshire.

Last year the event raised nearly £14,000 for the Fiona McDiarmid Fund, which makes donations to breast cancer charities and provides a bursary in Fiona’s name for a trainee journalist to study at Westminster University .

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Breakthrough Breast Cancer will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please help me out!

Many thanks for your support.
