For my sins I have decided to do a stage of the Tour de France called L’Etape du Tour in July (10^th) this year. It is a 187 km ride up three very big hills, with the last hill being the famous Alpe d'Huez. This is the longest endurance event that I have even done, I am doing it with three other friends and 9,000 other riders! I anticipate (or hope) that this ride will take me 11 hours and be ready for a large glass of wine and weekend’s back after it.
