Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
At the age of 69 my Father is in the late stages of Alzheimer's. My dad was a fun loving person with a great personality. He was always smiling and would love to tell a joke. He was a family man, and would do anything for us. Over the last year we have seen a massive deterioration in him, to a man who looks frail and cannot hold a conversation. He doesn't even remember who his family are. It's very hard to see my Dad with this condition, and also very hard to know that he does not remember us. However the most heartbreaking thing is seeing what he is going through.
As Alzheimer's destroys the memory function in the brain, my challenge is to drive from Warrington to The Dr Alois Alzheimer Museum and birthplace of the founder of Alzheimer's disease in Marktbreit (Germany).

The distance is a total of 1548 miles (if I don't get lost). The car is supplied by the wonderful people at Bentley's Motor Group in Warrington. http://www.bentleysmotorgroup.co.uk/
You may think it sounds easy, but I will be doing this with no use of Satellite Navigation, Maps or ask for directions on my journey. I will memorize the trip and drive with the power of my memory. I will be setting off on Friday 21st October 2016 and hopefully be returning on Monday 24th October 2016.
