Story
Ta for having a look at the site. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
I am aiming to do this ride over 14 days from the 21st April. I will be doing it on my own, no support vehicle. It averages out at about 80 miles per day and I have been training...or I was until I did my back in a couple of weeks ago. More or less better now though so I'll hopefully get a couple of decent rides in next week. The most I've done so far I've done a couple of consecutive 70 mile trips over the Peak District to my brothers- that was hard! Cycling from Buxton with thick fog was interesting and I'm still alive which is a better outcome than I was anticipating at the time..I'm off to Birmingham and back in the next couple of weeks and also doing one of the coast to coast routes as a warm-up.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Prostate Cancer Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
I'm doing this fundraising as I'm undertaking a charity challenge through Global Adventure Challenges in September. They tempt you into fundraising for charity by offering the carrot of a adventure-type challenge at the end of your fundraising. I AM PAYING THE COSTS OF THE CHALLENGE - you aren't paying for me to go on holiday!!! I canot stress that enough...I am paying over £1000 of the £3000 target myself which covers the costs of the flights, equipment etc- the Prostate Cancer Charity gets ALL of the money I raise through this cycle ride. I've already had a cake stall last summer where we raised the first £400. Anything I raise over the £3000 minimum will go to The Prostate Cancer Charity.
If you have any questions or you want to check things out with me first you can call me on 07779111721 or e-mail me at matthew@chorlton4.fsnet.co.uk
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
