Chicago Marathon · 9 October 2022

For 150 years, VSA has offered care, support, and vital services to vulnerable people in the North East. As times have changed, so has the way we have delivered our services, but always with one ambition; to give the people of Aberdeen the best of care to enable them to live the best of lives.

Story

I am running the Chicago Marathon on the 9th October in support of VSA.

VSA are a social care charity based in Aberdeen. They provide vital support and services to people of all ages through a range of residential and outreach support services. 95p in every pound donated to VSA goes directly to their charitable work across Aberdeen. We know that the donations will make a big difference. We have seen and heard from many people about how much VSA have helped them, and the donations will support VSA's new mental health facility at Abergeldie House on Holborn Street.

All donations will be matched by bp so will be worth double to VSA.

I have been supporting VSA through their partnership with bp in Aberdeen. In 2021 I ran the Virtual London Marathon for VSA, running over 6 legs with different colleagues over the course of the day, and then joined a team of 16 bp colleagues to Run Balmoral in April 2022.
