So here's the sell!
I'm heading to Argentina in December to climb Aconcagua as part of the Elite Himalayan Adventures Expedition. At an impressive 6,962 metres, Aconcagua is one of the Seven Summits and is the highest mountain in the world outside of the Himalayas. This is an entirely self-funded endeavour, but as it is the 'giving season' I would like to take the opportunity to raise £1000 for Wateraid whose mission is to provide clean water to some of the poorest communities all over the world. I chose to fundraise for Wateraid as I have seen first-hand in Ghana how the provision of a simple yet clean water supply can transform the lives of a community.
The expedition will be aiming to summit between the 18th and the 21st of December and I will try and keep you updated as we go, but as we climb higher, communication will become harder and my sister Elizabeth will take over the social media reigns.
Thank you for taking the time to read my page and any donations are greatly appreciated. All donations will go directly to Wateraid, you can find out more about their work on their website.
See you at the top.
Michael
Wateraid's Mission statement:
Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. But all over the world, communities are living without these essential human rights, leaving their lives at risk and their potential untapped. By donating this winter you are helping reach 250,000 people around the world with clean water. Every £1 donated to Untapped between 1 November 2017 and 31 January 2018 will be doubled by the UK Government, up to £5 million.Together we can change lives.
