I'm Michael, and I'm trying to raise money for EdUKaid. The reason, because I have just finished my time at school, after which I feel relieved that it's over, but also grateful for being able to go. Growing up, school encapsulated a large portion of my time, and without it, I don't know what I would've done. Now having finished, I feel I should give something back to the world of education where it is needed most.

Tanzania, where schools are over populated and resources stretched. No pencils, paper, books, even a place to sit for some. Exhausted children, unable to learn because they are unable to eat or drink anything until they get home. Some teachers are not even trained properly, and with teachers that can't teach, students can't learn. 

With your money, EdUKaid is developing projects for the whole school environment  that you can support including, pre-primary schools, teacher training, working with parents, and a school feeding programme.

EdUKaid supports 14 schools in and around the village of Mikindani which is located in the Mtwara region of southern Tanzania. This region is one o the poorest in Tanzania and is facing major challenges with both the provision and quality of education.

EdUKaid is a Wiltshire based UK registered charity. Establised in 2003, they've worked with some of the poorest communities in Tanzania, striving to improve the provision and quality of education. They've already helped the most deprived families send their children back to school, and provided desks, chairs and 1000s of books, and they can continue to do great work like this, only with your support.
