I have decided to return to Newcastle a 2nd time to run the Great North Run.

Anyone involved last year (and previous years) will know just how inspiring the occasion is, how supportive the crowd can be.....and how hot Newcastle is capable of being in September!!

This year I'm running solo and have decided to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Not because I had to (I got entry through the ballod) but because I believe we have an obligation as a society to make a continued and concerted effort to fight this disease in all its forms. On a more personal level as well I know numerous people whose loved ones have been affected.
