On the 29th March 2012 my world collapsed. My mum died suddenly. A woman who had been my mentor, my best friend, who loved me unconditionally, who and pulled me kicking and screaming through years of traumatic health problems. Awarded Mum in a Million.

A wonderful nannie now lost, we turned to Jigsaw to help Nicole and Krystal. 

Jigsaw support children in a fun environment with activities to help them understand their feelings and get answers to the questions they don't want to ask those around them that are also hurting. 

As an adult grieving we feel, pain, anger, tearful emotion, loneliness. 

As a child, what do you think they feel ?   Yes the same, but they also worry, who will be next ? who will look after me if my other parent dies ? what happened when they died ? will I die now ? Was it my fault ?

Children often don't understand the emotions they are feeling so they turn the anger on the people around them, maybe even become violent. They can't concentrate at school,  they get behind with studies and then get into trouble and give up trying. They might withdraw from friends who don't know what to say to them, they become a target for bullies because the're in a vulnerable state.

In five, ten, twenty, thirty years time when an adult is in counselling because their life is in crisis. They peel back the layers of their life history. Many will have a childhood bereavement with unresolved emotions.

I'm embarking on a sponsored diet. My target is to lose 5 stone as I need to assist my arthritis.  So lots of encouragement along the way please :-)
