Story

I am an idiot who has decided to do a 50km mountain bike race on my 60th birthday (Sunday 9th July). I use the term idiot, because for this type of event you need to train - I haven't done so. I did a 32 km training ride about 3 weeks ago. The ride took me over 4 hours, plus a week to recover. I had great great training program planned out, but....

Unlike road riding, when you are mountain biking you are not resting when you are going down hill. You are still working. The ride will take about 6 hours

But don't worry I am not completely unprepared, I  do have a bicycle pump and a water bottle, so I might just make it.

Wirral Society For the Blind and Partially Sighted

Are a great little charity that provide a fantastic service to local people, who have total or partial sight loss. All of the money raised will go to providing  services.

A great charity that needs your support.
