I am running this year's Great North Run in memory of Joyce Wood, loving mum of my partner Sarah.

Joyce was sadly admitted into St Gemma's on 3rd June 2022 and sadly lost her battle with the Big 'C" one week later on the 10th June 2022, her 85th birthday.

During her time there she was cared for with great love and respect by all the staff and this is my way of giving something back.

I hope you are resting at peace now Joyce, watching down on us and watching everything we do.  I'll see you on the finish line and I hope you'll bring the custard creams!
