Our lovely daughter Emily was diagnosed with Epilepsy in December last year. This has been incredibly difficult to come to terms with for us her parents, but Emily herself has coped with it with bravery and her usual beautiful smile.
My poor back isn't really up to running 13 miles, but if Emily can cope with this diagnosis for the rest of her life, then I'm sure I can put up with 2 hours of discomfort.
Its only when faced with something like this, that you come to realise what some kids have to face on a daily basis. I know budgets are tight at the moment, but any sponsorship you give would be very much appreciated by me and also by the charity I'm fundraising for, Young Epilepsy.
I'll leave the last words for the young lady herself:
"I am Emily, and I have just been diagnosed with Epilepsy so I want to raise some money for Young Epilepsy, Can you all please donate some money because we would like to raise about £100 or more. You are all very kind and it would be very nice if you donate for the charity".
Thank you very much.
