Story
Lands End to Portsmouth 3 days 300 miles 5400m elevation (that's 4 times Ben Nevis) On August 20th five members of Southsea Nomads Rugby Club are taking on the epic task of cycling from Lands End back to Portsmouth in aid of Rugby Against Cancer & Myeloma UK.
We have decided to challenge ourselves by taking on the organising and completion of the challenge. We are all novice cyclists and have never taken on a cycling challenge this big before.
The personal aspect of this for me is that I sadly lost my wife to cancer last year. She is survived by myself and our her two daughters Charlotte (8) & Chantel (22). During the stressful and challenging times leading up to her death the rugby world was one of the few solids that helped keep me going. I now want to give something back to that group and RAC is the perfect vehicle for that.
