My youngest sister Rosie lost her battle to cancer in August 2015.
Nottingham Children's Hospital supported us throughout her illness and continue to support us as a family, coping with our grief. Watching my sister go through her journey and experiences of fighting cancer, as well as experiencing the pain it causes firsthand, has shown me how crucial it is to receive the help you need at the right time.
A lot of people, including myself, have already raised funds for various charities in Rosie's name and in her memory - it means a tremendous amount to my family to keep her memory alive. So when I saw the opportunity to fund-raise for Nottingham Children's Hospital I was eager to give it a go. Rosie wasn't that keen on heights but was never one to let an opportunity pass; it will mean a lot to me to take part in the Big Abseil. I want to do it for Rosie and I know she'd be proud of me.
