Running for GOSH

Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024 · 13 October 2024 ·
This year my niece Marnie was admitted to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), where she was diagnosed with a rare condition called hyperinsulinsim at just 6 months old.
Hyperinsulinism affects around 1 in 50,000 people and her strain (HK-1) is even more rare and has only been discovered in the last few years. This means that the understanding and research is still in its infancy.
So, this Autumn, I will be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon and raising funds for GOSH, so that they can continue research into rare conditions like Marnie’s and carry on the amazing work they do looking after children.
GOSH took care of not only Marnie, but my sister Aimée and made a scary situation so much more manageable. The hospital is amazing, as are the staff who provide the highest level of care to those most in need. GOSH rely heavily on donations to be able to provide this level of specialist care.
Thank you in advance for supporting my huge challenge and donating whatever you can, it will make a massive difference.
Thank you for the donations so far! We are doing so well, and with 10 weeks and a bake sale still to go I have upped the target to £1,500! Your support means the world xxx
