Story
🦇 Ever since I watched Batty Koda in Ferngully as a little girl I have been batty about bats!! These amazing and magical flying mammals often suffer a bad press and false media!! Sometimes seen as scary terrifying blood-sucking fiends, particularly around Halloween, and most recently they have been wrongly blamed for the COVID-19 pandemic! Despite these misconceptions, bats are actually very gentle, intelligent and captivating creatures who help our planet as important pollinators, environmental indicators and pest controllers (because UK bats feed on insects). So Bats aren't just for Halloween!! We need them !!! And now more than ever these creatures of the night need our help!! Bats are under threat with decreasing bat populations due to loss of roosting sites, lack of feeding grounds and flight paths caused by the destruction of their natural habitat. This is a direct result of human development!!
So this halloween I would like your help to raise money for The Bat conservation Trust to secure a better future for bats and ensure they are around for future generations to enjoy.
10% of all ticket sales for the Spooktacular family event on Friday 29th October will go towards The Bat Conservation Trust !! All ticket purchases for the event automatically enters you into the Batty prize raffle for a chance to win one of the following prizes: a wildlife world wooden Bat Box, Wild republic cuddly Bat toy or an RSPB Book on bats.
I appreciate all the support in helping me get this far to raise some money for a cause close to my heart and I am also asking for additional and wider support to make any extra small donations to increase the total raised funds,
