We help blind and partially sighted people to break down the barriers of sight loss

Story

UPDATE 30.4.2010 So, I actually collapsed during the 2010 race only after 8 miles. I'm sorry but I have the chance to do it for 2011 for the RNIB. This page will be changed for that and all donations will contribute for that race.

Thanks for the donations :)

Hello/Salaams ladies and gents, brothers and sisters.

My name is Minh, and my boss is Imraan.

We both work in an optician's and deal with many patients who are partially sighted or blind. To lose your eyesight is such a difficult thing to deal with and it is sad when we meet people whose life has been turned upside down.

In 2009 we both decided to help raise money for the RNIB.

Raising 3 thousand pounds may not be much on the whole scale of things, but we felt that this was something worth doing since we are fit and healthy, especially because it is so important to us.

I hope we can get as much for this wonderful charity as possible. Please look at their official website on the things they do for people.I'm not very articulate so this page may not be inspiring to you, but if you think of something that really matters to you, well this is the same for me.

I thank everyone for their donations. Salma and Sayma, I hope you girls raise lots and lots for me! :P Send this link to your rich and generous friends!

Please give as much as you can. Every pound and penny counts.

About the charity

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.
