I am running London twice. On 22 April, 1st Marathon to support Ruden Bhutia, CEO Runderbolts who is doing 3 marathons in London (including London Marathon 2023) in 24 hrs for https://www.seenepal.org
2nd Marathon on 23 April 23 with Team Ama.
AMA means mother in Nepali, (and 3 team members are mothers).
Our team connected to each other through Runderbolts, a running community promoting running to Ethnic minorties, and encouraging Diversity and Inclusion. It has been great to bring people together and creating a running community. Unfortunately, one of out team members’, Miaya lost her mum to Alzheimers just as covid commenced. During this period, I formed a special friendship with Ruden (Runderbolts founder) Dal Kaji (Dee) and Miaya. Prabina’s ( Runderbolts member) mother in law has recently just been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
We therefore come together, as Team AMA, to raise funds for Alzheimers Research UK, by running the London Marathon.
