Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As most know Me & Mark are big Ipswich Town fans and 1st met during the 2000/2001 season, we have such great memories of that season and the following season going to Moscow, and Marcus Stewart is a big part of those memories. 

When the news came of Marcus's diagnosis we both decided that we would like to raise some money towards Team Stewart's £100k target to help towards Motor Neurone Disease research. 

So in 2023 we are both running the Manchester Marathon, this will be Marks 1st Marathon and my 4th and think this is a great cause to be able to support as ITFC fans. 

I know these are tough times for most people at the moment but if anyone can spare a few pennies towards our target then it would be greatly appreciated. 



About the charity

Former Liverpool, Bradford City and Bolton Wanderers footballer Stephen Darby and close friend and British Forces Veteran Chris Rimmer have partnered together to launch the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation. Stephen and Chris both have Motor Neurone Disease and have created a Foundation to create awareness of MND, to fund and assist research into the illness with the quest of finding a cure for the illness, to raise funds and offer grants to those with MND, as well as creating a network to help provide information and emotional support network for those diagnosed with the disease.
