Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page

On 13. September  2008, Sophie, Amy, and I will took part in the Oxfordshire Historic Churches Trust sponsored bike-ride. We visited as many Oxfordshire Churches as we could on our Trandem managing a total of 20 (See below).

The money we raise will be shared between Oxfordshire Historic Trust and our own church St. Mary-le-More in Wallingford. That's the big one in the Market Place and is due for some major alterations  soon, which will make it more usable for different groups. More about St.Mary-le-More can be found on this website: http://www.marylemore.co.uk/

Please sponsor me either per church or with a fixed donation of your choosing.

We cycled on the Tandem with Sophie going by herself on her own bike to

1. St. Mary-le-More in Wallingford

then we walked for a bit to those Wallingford churches:

2. the Methodist Church

3. the Ridgeway Communitiy Church

4. St. Johns Catholic Church

got the bikes back to go to

5. the Quaker meeting house

6. St. Leonards

7. Wallingford Baptist Church

8. St. Peter's

9. St. Mary Magdalen, Crowmarsh Gifford

10. St. Mary Newnham Murren

11. John the Baptist Mongewell

close to North Stoke, Sophie decided that it would be easier on the muddy paths if she was attached to the Tandem - does that make it a Trandem - or a Tripledem or what (OK before you get the Oxford dictionary out, it is still only a tandem no matter how many seats, so long as there are at least 2)

so on to

12. St. Mary the Virgin North Stoke

13. St. Andrews South Stoke

14. St. Thomas Goring

15. Catholic Church St. JOhn Goring

16. Goring Free Church

17. Streatley - which is strictly speaking Berkshire, but they were doing a similar event and accepting each other's signatures ..

18. St. John Moulsford

19. Cholsey Free Church

20. St. Mary's Cholsey

with about 3 Minutes to spare before the official closing time of 6 pm
