We are fundraising because no child should go to bed thirsty.

We are taking part in The Walk so that Tearfund can help families struggling because of drought exacerbated by climate change. Every £240 we raise has the potential to provide 20 families like Orbisa's with access to a life-saving water source. Please sponsor our walk to help provide for families suffering without enough water.

We plan to walk the West Highland Way from Milngavie to Rowardennan and back in easy stages (total of 50 miles, roughly 4 hours per day) at weekends in September.

In Afar, north-east Ethiopia, Orbisa used to collect water from the nearby river, but it has dried up. She now has to walk up to ten hours each day to collect water for her family. But they often get by with less than half the water they need.
