Climate change is having a devastating impact on people like in Afar, north-east Ethiopia. It used to rain up to four months in a year there, but now it only falls in August. When it rained more regularly, Orbisa could collect water five minutes from her home. Now she has to walk up to ten hours every day to the nearest water source. She walks more than the distance from Ethiopia to Scotland each year to collect water.
