Three years ago, our life seemed perfect. We had just moved to our dream home, with our gorgeous, tenacious toddler and Manny was about to start his dream job.  Sadly, life had other plans in store for us as shortly after this beautiful man was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and given months to live.

I knew of a  wonderful charity called Penny Brohn, who help people live well with cancer. They guided us on what we could do over and above chemotherapy to fight cancer. This gave Manny a quality of life despite the side effects of chemo and pain. 

We are now two and a half years post diagnosis still going strong. Some days you could say he is thriving, other days, just surviving. Manny’s cancer returned less than a year after his pioneering surgery and there is no hope for more surgery. He needs to have energy to play with his son, have fun with friends and family, walk the dog and cook me delicious curries!!  Rabbie, our son, starts school in September. Manny will see his first day at school, but it is unlikely he will see him go to into "big" school. We have been fighting for what seems like Rabbie's whole life. Sometimes it feels like we are winning and other times (like the past 3 months) it very much feels like cancer is stronger than us all put together.

Penny Brohn have been with us, in our fight against cancer, throughout this time. They have given us expert advice on a plethora of different areas. They have had a huge impact on how well and happy Manny is - which in turn affects how happy Rabbie and I
are.  If we only have a year or two left, I want them to be filled with
joy and happy memories for our incredible little boy, who loves his daddy and Lego partner so much.

It is now time for us to help Penny Brohn as  they have helped us.
With that said, I am running London Marathon to raise money for Penny Brohn. I have never run more than 13 miles in my life and I need to train my hardest to achieve this goal (alongside looking after Rabbie, Manny, Luna (the pup) and my full time job!)...so dig deep people and let’s have More Manny
