Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page and supporting the Mindshare 2020 Black History Month, Running Challenge. 

As this October, marks the 33rd anniversary in the UK for Black History Month. A few of us from Mindshare, decided to group together to: 

1. Celebrate Black History Month 
2.  Raise the profile of Mindshare's Roots Society 
3.  Most importantly raise money for two selected charities. 

We thought, the best way to do this (while of course social distancing) would be to organise a running challenge - and then ask our lovely friends, family and colleagues to donate/sponsor us! 

There is 15 of us in total, and we have all pledged to run 33km per week in October. Making that 1,980Km collectively by the end of October. 

We have chosen two charities to support, The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust and Black Minds Matter UK.

The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust was founded to tackle inequality in all forms.

We work with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds aged 13 to 30 to inspire and enable them to succeed in the career of their choice. We also influence others to create a fairer society in which everyone, regardless of their background, can flourish.

We're dedicated to transforming the life chances of young people and improving the world in which they live. We support young people from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds to inspire and enable them to succeed in the career of their choice. We support community groups to develop new skills and play an active role in building stronger communities. And we help organisations to create a more inclusive culture in order to achieve lasting social impact.
