Ukraine Crisis Appeal

Ukraine has faced almost eight years of conflict. With recent events, we want to be there for everyone who needs us

Story

As we watch the terrible events unfolding in Ukraine, musicians are coming together to perform the Brahms German Requiem to show support for all of those suffering the awful effects of the invasion. Unlike other Requiems, this piece focuses on comforting the living, as well as mourning the dead.

Soprano - Caroline Taylor       Baritone - Tom Butler

Conductor - Howard Williams     Leader - Steve Bingham

Choir - Singers of Cambridge and beyond

Orchestra - Musicians of Cambridge and beyond

Our singers and instrumentalists are donating their time plus a minimum of £20 to participate; they are asked to encourage their friends, family and indeed everyone to watch the performance via livestream https://youtu.be/OvKCdcRCnAc and to sponsor them by donating here https://www.justgiving.com/MusiciansForUkraine

The recording will continue to be available, after the event, using the same link.

Sadly we cannot accommodate an in-person audience on 19th March.

The committee and musicians are very grateful for everyone's support (and especially to our venue, Downing Place URC Cambridge), as we come together to perform that most compassionate of choral works. Please give generously.
