On the 15th, the Jelly Drops team will do our very first Memory Walk in support of the Alzheimer's Society. We're still a small startup and don't have the possibility to match donations, but we still hope that we can use our platform to make a difference! 

1 in 3 people are affected by Dementia. Within our community, we know that number is much higher. In the last year, many of our community members have sadly lost their loved ones. One of them is Chelsea, whose great-grandma Violet passed away this September.

We first came to know Violet over a year ago - Chelsea was sharing photos and stories with us - and Violet soon became the unofficial face of Jelly Drops! 

When Violet passed away, Chelsea reached out the following day "Jelly Drops became ‘our thing’. To order, take photos, and enjoy them. It allowed us to enjoy something outside the ‘dementia’, have a laugh with the little photo shoots and to see her smile and actually enjoy something she was eating near the end of her life was really important". Chelsea then asked if we could do something, just something little, in memory of Violet. 

That's why on the 15th, we're walking for Violet! For Violet and the other community members that we've sadly had to say goodbye to this year. 

We know it's been a tough 18 months. If you have the possibility to donate, please do! Even £1 makes a difference - if we all chip in! JustGiving will send your money directly to Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money, saving time and cutting costs for the charity. The Alzheimer’s Society uses your donation to provide support, care and guidance for thousands of people affected by dementia.
