Memory Walk 2021
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year thousands of people will walk united, against dementia. With your help, we aim to raise as much money as possible to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

Hi my name is Lewis! I'm the inventor of Jelly Drops - water sweets that support hydration.

I was inspired to create Jelly Drops because my grandma Pat, who was living with dementia, was struggling to hydrate. I went to live in her care home for a month to see if I could help - I realised whilst she struggled to drink, she still loved treats, and so did everybody else! The insights gained from my time there lead me to develop Jelly Drops. I gathered a small team of engineers, designers and psychologists and after 18 months of intense work we launched in the UK!

We’re very grateful to the Alzheimer's Society - as they were one of the first organizations to recognise Jelly Drops’ potential and helped support our journey to market.

We were also lucky to get donations from a Justgiving page (kindly set up by Caron Sprake) that helped get Jelly Drops in production!

Now it's our time to give back. We know that the majority of our community is affected by dementia. We want to use our platform to make a difference to them, to celebrate their stories and to support the Alzheimer's Society's work.

Thank you for your time,

Lewis Hornby
