Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I would like to raise money for the National Brain Appeal, for which our friend Penny Boylan fundraised during her all-too-short life.
Penny's JustGiving page:
'Penny passed away peacefully at home on the 6th August 2014, aged just 31. She worked tirelessly between her diagnosis of a malignant brain tumour in 2007 and her eventual death to raise money for the National Brain Appeal, to help the hospital which did so much to help her. In the end she raised almost £400,000 & helped fund a new imaging centre, new Brain Tumour Unit (the first in the UK) as well as a dedicated research fellow position. She would absolutely have wanted any legacy to go to this remarkable charity & the teams that work so hard to improve outcomes for those afflicted with this terrible disease.'
The run follows paths through the beautiful Whinlatter Forest in the Lake District, climbing up to Seat How. I've never done anything as energetic as this before; your support will get me to the finishing line. It may not be a huge distance but it's very steep in places! Thank you for giving to this important cause.
