Friends! Family!  Zach and Oliver have chosen their challenges to raise money this week - please support them!!

Splitz Support Service are an incredible organisation supporting victims of Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence - more information below.

Zachary The Valiant will be running 2.6 MILES iiiiiiiinnnnn (drum roll) a dress! Zachary May=always comedic value added :) Prepare to watch our post event video as he races cross country, through mud, water and goodness knows what else in a lovely little number belonging to his Mummy.

Oliver the Human Gyroscope is training to complete an incredible trampoline feat: 26 consecutive front flips! There may be sickness. Video will be edited to remove all non-dinner appropriate content :)

Please donate to support and encourage these mad little heart-warriors. We'll be completing the challenges on Friday 1st May.

Social isolation has had a huge impact on victims and survivors of domestic abuse. For those still in an abusive relationship this has left many women, men and children confined with their abusive partner 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Every day victims are feeling as though they are walking on eggshells, waiting, watching and trying to anticipate the next flashpoint so that they may protect themselves.

Survivors of domestic abuse who are beginning their independent life can be left vulnerable, isolated, anxious, isolated and economically disadvantaged. The current lockdown magnifies these feelings as people adjust to new routines, often managing the trauma of the domestic abuse for their children or themselves, in addition to the challenges of home schooling and lone parenting.

Domestic abuse and sexual violence are destructive but they do not have to define the lives of survivors. With support, information and advice survivors can reclaim their lives, come to terms with their experiences and move on to build a safer, happier home.

Please donate to support the work that we do.
