On Sunday 17^th April I will (hopefully!!) complete a life long ambition and successfully complete the London Marathon – ideally in a time of around 4 hours!

 

Becoming a “marathon runner” has been an incredible three-year journey for me that has involved learning to a love vegetables and quitting my 25 a day smoking habit!  

 

Training for London has (and still is tough) I have been plagued by bad knees and not enough hours in the day to cope with the ever increasing mileage!!  The freezing cold weather does nothing motivate me in to action either at the end of the working day! I have resulted in the drastic action of being dropped to work in the morning with my running kit and trainers – so then at the end of the day the only way to get home is to run the 10 miles!

 

I am running the marathon to raise money for Action for Children – and very worthwhile cause who has been the Hays official charity partner for the last 18 months.

 

Please dig deep and donate whatever you can so I can raise as much cash as possible, at least then my pain and suffering will not be for nothing!! !
