My 94 year old grandad, John Sizer, was admitted with an infection last week and tested positive for Covid 19.  The staff on ward C5 arranged for a video call so I could spend some precious time with him before he sadly passed away on Monday. I cannot thank them enough: The compassion and empathy they demonstrated was a credit to their profession and I will forever be grateful for the time they afforded me and other members of my family. My grandad did not leave any instructions regarding flowers or donations and my family is unanimous in wanting to express our gratitude to the super staff by raising money in his memory for the hospital.
