Story
Sadly, some children just don't live long enough. This was the case for our dear friend Lauren, who passed away late last year at the age of 13. Losing such a caring and loving young girl from our church community has been and continues to be very tough. But knowing that Rainbows Hospice was a caring place that gave Lauren love, joy, and happiness in her last days brings us great comfort.
As the East Midlands only hospice for children and young people, Rainbows is a place where life-limited children and their families can find care and support. Their incredible team help relieve symptoms, improve quality of life, support parents and siblings through their bereavements and care for children until the end.
Having known of Lauren for the last 9 years, being a leader in her youth group for a few years, I'd love the opportunity to honour the memory and legacy of Lauren, and to thank Rainbows for the special care they gave her. Please support me and the charity as I run the Great North Run in September.
