Story
This
year is a very special year for us. Antoine, my son is going to turn
18. The end of childhood and teenager hood, well almost but certainly
the beginning of his young adult life. "Adult"... This is it the word is
said, not anymore a child meaning that it's time to say goodbye to
Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. At the end of the year Antoine
will go to Guy & St Thomas hospital. So as a big big thank you we
really want to collect money for the children at GOSH Renal and
Metabolic units. Every penny will be used to make their stay at the
hospital a little bit more bearable! You want to do more?
Come to the Escuela de Baile Extravaganza! I'm a mum but also a Flamenco dancer! When I talked to Nuria, my teacher and Escuela de Baile school director, I wanted to do something for GOSH she hasn't hesitated a second. She agreed to give half of the proceeds of the 5th July show to Great Ormond Hospital to support the renal & Metabolic units where Antoine is followed. This show is going to be truly incredible! When: 5th July at 1pm Where: Haverstock School, 24 Haverstock Hill, Camden NW3 2BQ5

Antoine Story:
Antoine was born with an inherited metabolic condition, called Methylmalonic Acidemia and was followed since at wonderful GOSH.
This is a rare condition of a liver enzyme deficiency. There is no cure just close monitoring, a lot of medications and a strict low protein diet. Because of the lack or malfunction of this enzyme a lot of acidity is produced by the body and damages some organs. Antoine has also a kidney impairment. Three years ago his dad, Hervé was about to give him one of his kidney but ten days before the operation Antoine blood results improved, the transplant was cancelled and put on standby, thanks to the GOSH incredible medical team!
To all the doctors, secretaries, nurses, dieticians, psychology consultant, helpers. Thank you a thousand time for your expertise and support.
We'll never forget about you!
MAKE A DONATION, COME ALONG THE FLAMENCO SHOW!
BE AMAZING, BE AMAZED!
Thank you very much for your help.
