Story
For all those who have lost someone, may know how much care and love the hospice teams provide to ease the last days or weeks.
I think everyone is aware how little normal fundraising has happened this year for obvious reasons, so this is just a little something that I can do to say thank you and hopefully raise a few pounds to help Cornwall Hospice Care to continue to provide the essential service that they do.
I'll be walking from Fowey to Padstow along the Saints way in a day. Its 36 miles which may not sound like much to the marathon runners among us, but will be the longest I've walked in a day.
Lockdown has been hard for all of us, but particularly for our charity and our nurses caring for those in their last moments. We need your help more now than ever to keep our beds open.Imagine taking a deep breath and opening your eyes, youre high on the moors with endless skies and a vista running down to the sea. Its September, lockdown is behind you and the expanse of the Cornish countryside in front of you.Celebrate your freedom with us and make a special pilgrimage to put it all behind you. The Saints Way is our sacred ancient Cornish footway from Padstow to Fowey, trodden by thousands of feet before us. Enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery in Cornwall dotted with pre-historic remains, ancient bridges, old tracks, quaint churches and pretty villages enroute. Perhaps dedicate your journey to someone special. The footpath is just under 30 miles long but you dont have to do it in on go. Starting on the 1st September 2020 were going to give you the whole month to do it.
