Face2Face Brighton Appeal
Campaign by Scope (RCN 208231)
Face 2 Face offers parents of disabled children one-to-one emotional and practical support from trained volunteer ‘befrienders’. We need your support to keep the Brighton and Hove service open.

Story

Hi everyone, I'm running a 5k on Saturday for a brilliant service called Face 2 Face. My amazing wife Amanda runs the service and it is uniquely designed to help families like mine.  Caring for a disabled child can be tough. When you’re juggling work, household tasks and countless medical appointments for your child, there’s little time left for you. Many parents feel alone and unsupported. This service puts parents in touch with other parents. It gives free befriending offering one to one emotional support for parents of disabled children or those with additional needs.

I ALMOST FORGOT. I'm not running alone...I'm pushing our Liv round the course too! Although I'm going to try and get her out and walk over the finihs line. Now it's a fun run..but I'm obviously going to try and come first in my category....which is the over weight and over 45 male pushing a 14 year old girl in a massive wheelchair catgeory. I've got a good chance of smasjing any records.

I know there has been lots of charity things going round recently but just a little would really help.

Thanks

Morty (and Liv 'mini Morty')
