Two years ago Chelsea Physic Garden got the green light to embark on the restoration of its late Victorian teak and cast-iron glasshouses. Despite best efforts to maintain the glasshouses, after a century of constant use, the glasshouses need urgent repair. The conservation designs are finalised, the entire glasshouse plant collections have been reviewed and plans are in place to share the soon-to-be restored heritage with everyone. Our task now is to raise the final £1m to complete the restoration. The John Browne Charitable Trust has generously pledged to double all donations over £100, up to a total of £500,000.
