In May this year my two year old son Ferdia was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. This came as a huge shock and it has definitely taken some time to adjust to. The Diabetes nurses and doctors at Crumlin Hospital were just amazing and so supportive especially during our time staying there. I really would appreciate any support for this at all. 

I am taking part in the Walk for Children's Diabetes event.All funds raised this year will support the Diabetes Center in CHI at Crumlin and will help fund the cost of many projects, such as; a Fulltime Diabetes Nurse Specialist , a Data manager , vital medical equipment for the centre, Summer Camps for both patients and their families , a Porta cabin , many Educational seminars for parents of newly diagnosed children and so much more.
