Story

Daniel, our wonderful boy, was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at the start of this year.  He’s since bravely endured hospital admissions, steroids, immunosuppressants and other medication in an effort to bring the disease under control.  He has improved a lot since diagnosis and over time should hopefully find a way of leading an active fulfilling life again.

UC is a form of Inflammatory Bowel Disease and is a life-changing and - at times – debilitating condition for which there is currently no cure.  Every year more and more children are diagnosed with IBD and need help and support with all aspects of this disease.  This is why we are taking part in WALK IT on 8 June to help raise funds for Crohn’s & Colitis UK, a charity that provides support to those affected by Crohn’s and Colitis and raises money for research to find a cure.
