Story
On the 28th July we will be tackling The Yorkshire Three Peaks, a 24 miles (38.6km) route which includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent - and trying to complete this in under 12 hours.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, which form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
This will be in aid of the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
Intense conflict in Ukraine is threatening the lives and livelihoods of civilians across the country, causing millions to flee. Homes have been destroyed. Essential services have been hit. Families have been separated. People have been injured. Lives have been lost. DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and across the border in the neighbouring countries. They are working to meet the immediate needs of all people fleeing with food, water, medical assistance, protection and trauma care.
