During lockdown No2, I took the plunge and entered The London Marathon 2021 ballot even though, at the time, I was unable to run due to injury. When chatting about it with my physio he was very encouraging saying 'go for it Nicky, at your age you still have time, but no time to waste'!

So, I was very fortunate and got a ballot place. However, why attempt this iconic event and huge personal challenge (the furthest I have ever run is 14 miles!) without also supporting a charity along the way. 

Kidney Care is a charity close to the heart of my family. It supports kidney patients and their families always, but not least during the recent lockdowns, when many patients were shielding at home.
