It has been my dream for the past eleven years to do the Great North Run. Within this time, due to complications associated with Diabetes, I had kidney failure and I am now visually impaired. I have been lucky enough to have two transplants - meaning that without my donor's, this challenge would not have been possible.

My brother-in-law Mike Robinson is going to be my 'eyes' for the run, guiding me around the 13 mile course in September.

Raising awareness for the amazing work that Kidney Care UK do is a keen passion. Alongside this, I want to show how amazing the gift of life can be post-transplant.
